Gate House, Coldingham, UK

The Gate House sits at the entrance to the grounds of a large country house, on the edge of Coldingham Bay in the Borders.

The house uses the complex form of the site to generate its unique form. The splays of the site define two sides of the plan form, creating spatial complexity internally and an asymmetrically pitched roof form externally.

The resultant form is both familiar, yet unique; traditional, yet contemporary.

Planning Permission was granted in 2018.
