This proposal, for a private developer, has been designed as an adaptable prototype responding to the specifics of building in the Scottish countryside. The extruded form can extend to practically accommodate up to five bedrooms with a central open-plan kitchen, dining and living area. The simple form and utilisation of a factory produced timber frame structural system ensures that costs and on-site construction times are minimised.
