New Inn Hall Street, Oxford
No.1 New Inn Hall Street occupies a key position on Bonn Square, Oxford. Within a constrained footprint (6m deep) the proposals seek to resolve the complex programmatic relationships between the anticipated occupants while providing a suitable backdrop to the life of the square.
The facades, developed from a reading of the Proscholium at the Bodleian Library, are formed by a regular rhythm of small concrete structural fins, infilled with limestone or sliding glass panels.
