Life Cycle Housing Prototype

In the past 30 years a number of socio-economic and political events have coalesced to produce a rapid increase in private home-ownership and, paradoxically, a simultaneous decline in both the quantity and quality of house-building in the UK. The study aimed to illustrate a way forward for the development of house types which respond to modern modes of living, employ sustainable modes of construction and explore the potential application of innovative construction techniques.
