Bonn Square, Oxford – Competition, Winner

Bonn Square, in Oxford, is currently fragmented, but by folding a taut limestone surface over its extent, we seek spatial clarity and a dialogue with the material fabric of the city.

The proposal embraces time and change: the limestone surface will wear leaving a trace of peoples movements; bronze fittings will patinate, staining the surface, and tree species are selected for their seasonal variation.
